If you’ve been following along, we’re launching our first ever Songwriting Club and we’re calling it the Imperfectionist Song Society! This club is open to all by a lottery process.

Our first 5-week session will meet on Wednesday evenings starting on Wednesday, February 9th from 8-9:30 PM (ET). To encourage engagement and develop a shared vernacular, we plan to assemble a group of nine songwriters who will commit to full participation in each of the 5 consecutive sessions. We understand that not everyone can make this timeframe work, but we plan to host future iterations of this program so more folks can participate (the next 5-week session is tentatively scheduled to begin in March).

 This project draws inspiration from the “Challenge Accepted!” songwriting group that met at camp in the summer of 2021. Though we had a wide range of interest in different types of songwriting gatherings, we are excited to offer this structure as it speaks to many people’s interests. With that being said, weekly inspiration will be sent seven days prior to our Wednesday song circle, where we will congratulate each other and discuss/provide encouraging feedback on each other’s songs.
