PRICING | Brooklyn HOUSE CAMP
SLIDING SCALE TUITION:
As you can imagine, an intimate weekend event like this costs a lot to put on. We want to continue to offer this experience to people with a wide range of abilities and income levels. In the past, we've managed to do this by paying our instructors a bit less than they would typically ask for a weekend of teaching and they have been happy to accept a reduced fee because the vibe and the experience are always positive.
Based on camper feedback last year, we think it's possible to balance affordability with paying our instructors something closer to what they're worth. To that end, we're replacing the fixed tuition rate with a sliding scale pricing structure.
If house camp is already a stretch for you, please register at the standard or work trade rate and we will be thrilled as always to have your presence at camp. If you have the resources to spare, please consider paying a stepped-up tuition for the weekend you’re about to experience. Know that your contribution is directly supporting the musicians whose skill and generosity of spirit are always a given. At the same time, you're allowing a fellow community member to attend camp at a price they can afford.
Work/Trade Registration (See below) = $125
Standard Registration = $225
A Little Nudge Registration = $275
Sponsor Registration = $350
Registration (at any price) includes admission to the opening night concert and dance, all classes and evening activities, three meals, snacks and unlimited coffee & tea throughout the weekend.
NEW THIS YEAR: MoM "Libations Option"! Check the "Beer/Wine" box on the registration form if you'd like to partake in a beer at cocktail hour and wine with dinner for $15 additional. Fancy espresso drinks and cocktails, etc. will also be available for purchase at the Jalopy cafe and bar throughout the weekend.
Please note: The Friday night concert is also open to the public, but non-campers must purchase a separate ticket from Jalopy's website.
WORK/TRADE DISCOUNTS: We have a limited number of discounted spots for campers who would like to trade 4-5 hours of work for a $100 discount. Jobs are allocated on a first-come/first-serve basis and could include help with meal set-up, clean-up, Friday night ticket taking, weekend coffee/tea czar, or other chores over the course of the weekend. All of the work trade crew should expect to pitch in on clean up at the end of camp on Sunday. Sign-up today and pay the $125 tuition; we'll be in touch soon. (We reserve the right to decline your application if your availability doesn't fit with our scheduling needs. If we’re unable to offer you a position, you will have the option to request a refund or to apply your deposit toward full tuition.)
REFUNDS: House Camp requires you pay in full at registration. If you cancel by February 24th we can offer you a 50% refund.
